Wellbeing, Equity, Belonging + Community Team Initiative

At Global Gateway Advisors, we are committed to building and fostering a robust firm culture that celebrates our team members and the impact we can have in the communities where we live and work.

We aim to ensure our colleagues can bring their truest and most authentic selves to work every day by providing a space where employees can share, learn and grow.

We are intentional about our programming and dedicated to discovering new opportunities to turn our allyship into action. Highlights from our 2024 programs include:

Foster a culture of belonging: We marked milestones and observances through firm gatherings, educational resources and discussions.

  • Launched 1:1 connections to bring our team closer together
    • Developed in response to team feedback, the personal 1:1s foster discussions on working styles, shared experiences, and what brings joy at work
  • Honored 12 observances through education and community building
    • Hosted employee-led activations, including a Black History Month virtual trivia game and Stonewall tour during Pride Month 
    • Empowered employees to explore diverse businesses in communities where we live and work through shared Google Map + stipend
    • Created team Spotify playlists, featuring artists from across cultures, in celebration of global observances

Give back to our global and local communities: We supported local and global nonprofits to advance meaningful causes.

  • Spent 30+ team hours volunteering with the Food Bank of New York to promote food security
  • Empowered employees with 14 hours of volunteer time off (VTO)

Build global citizens: We championed causes to advance global citizenship

  • Participated in AFS Youth Assembly as delegates and panelists
  • Engaged 100% of employees in a training on best practices for inclusion + belonging in communications
