2022 Year in Review: Global Gateway Advisors

What a year 2022 has been.

Smart, strategic communications helped our clients further global dialogue and create opportunities in the face of adversity and challenge—including the invasion of Ukraine and continuing crisis in Afghanistan, the pivotal SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, societal demands for greater accountability and transparency in health equity, questions about the future of work in a shifting economic environment and job market, and more.

Here are 10 ways we helped our clients lead:

1. Led international media and communications for the APEC CEO Summit Thailand 2022, the premier business event in the Asia Pacific, which returned to an in-person format for the first time since 2018. Our team was on-site in Bangkok to support international media partners, moderators and sponsors to ensure a best-in-class event.

2. Elevated the visibility of a group of medical and scientific thought leaders within a global healthcare company who are advancing evidence and science-based decision-making driven by bioethical principles and values.

3. Directed international communications for The College Board to announce the switch from paper and pencil to digital SATs.

4. Launched a visionary narrative for Recruit Holdings, a global leader in HR matching technology and parent company of Indeed and Glassdoor, on how the collaboration of people and technology will transform the future of work.

5. Empowered the next generation of changemakers by leading a workshop on ‘Global Citizenship In A Digital World’ at the 27th Youth Assembly in New York City.

6. Supported efforts by the Institute of International Education to aid Ukrainian students following the Russian invasion.

7. Announced the creation of a multi-partner initiative to fund U.S. higher education opportunities for displaced Afghan university students, the Qatar Scholarship for Afghans Project.

8. Positioned Glassdoor’s lead economist as a go-to expert on the jobs market, forming new relationships at The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Insider, and securing a recurring spot on CBS News.

9. Established a pro bono partnership with Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey to help better reach women and LGBTQIA+ individuals in need of reproductive care.

10. Engaged employees about the maternal health crisis in the United States and strategies for improving maternal health equity on behalf of a global healthcare company.
